Trade Training
FirePump Level 1, 2 & 3
This is a 3 part course. Level 1 is an introduction to fire pumps, purpose, use, functionality and inspection. Level 2 is a full test, flow meter and full flow. Students then will plot the pump curve and compare to manufacturers. Level 3 is a full rebuild of the pump, bearings, packing, shaft, impeller and alignment. Length of each level varies from 1 day to 3 days.

NFPA 13 2019 Update
This one day course will go through the various technical changes throughout 2019 edition of NFPA 13. The participant will become familiar with these changes and will hear discussions on how it will impact the installation of future systems. Focus will be on information most relevant to those working in the sprinkler installation industry. This course can also be found on the members LMS. (nationalsprinklerjtac.org)

Fire Hydrant - City of Calgary
This is a 3 day course that will go over proper testing procedures as per the AHJ, maintenance and repair of the 4 major hydrants found in the city of Calgary (Mueller, AVK, McAvity and Terminal city). Please note that this course is qualification for the ITM of private fire hydrants in the city of Calgary.

Tornatech VIZI Fire Pump Panel
This half day course will provide instruction and hands on demonstration of the operation and features of the new ViZi Touch fire pump controller. This product has intergrated a dramatic change in technology and user interface. The manufacturer will conduct this course and provide a great opportunity for discussion/questions for those currently installing or operatingthis new product.

Blazemaster Certification
This one day certification course is a manufacturer requirement to be taken every two years. Luberzol trainers have offered to come to areas outside of Toronto to help certify all those installing Blazemaster plastic piping. This course can also be found on the members LMS. Potter N2 Generator Systems
This one day course will provide instruction and hands on demonstration of the operation and features of the Potter N2 Nitrogen generator system. The Potter N2 generator systems provide a on-site high purity nitrogen intended for sprinkler systems to minimize corrosion and extend life of a system.

NAUSC Supervisor Level 1
The NAUSC Supervisor Training Program is designed to prepare Jouneypersons to take leadership roles in working with crews of industry workers to lead them in completing work for contractors by providing them with the initial supervisory skills the need to complete the requirements of the position.

NAUSC Medical Gas Installer
The NAUSC Medical Gas Piping Installer CSA Certificate will benefit every Journeyperson Plumber or Steamfitter/Pipefitter who is interested in working on site as a Medical gas personnel. The program is designed to give participants a strong understanding of medical gas system installation and maintenance as defined by the piping industry. Code, system operation and the latest approved industry methods will be discussed.

NAUSC P.I.P.E.S. Rigging
The Canadian UA Rigging Certificate will benefit every Journeyperson who is interested in working on site as riggers. The program is designed to give participants a better understanding of the complexities of working safely as rigging specialists as defined by the piping industry.

NAUSC Controlled Bolting and Tensioning
The NAUSC Tensioning and Torquing Certificate will benefit and Journeyperson who is interested in working on site performing tensioning and torquing operations.The program is designed to give participants a better understanding of the complexities of working safely as a tension and torquing specialist as defined by the piping industry.

NAUSC Cold Cutting
The NAUSC Cold Cutting Certificate will benefit every Journeyperson who is interested in working on site performing cold cutting operations. The program is designed to give participants a better understanding of the complexities of working safely and cold cutting specialists as defined in the piping industry.

NAUSC Multi Process Welding
This course has been designed to cover the understanding of set-up and working with multi-process welding machines, with regard to the capabilities of the SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, GMAW-P and FCAW. Advanced practical techniques will mostly cover the gas metal are welding and flux core arc welding variables for a variety of materials.

AWWA Cross Connection Control Initial
Personnel engaged in the installation and testing of backflow preventers are required to be adequately trained. Training is based on requirements found in the AWWA Canadian Cross Connection Control Manual and is offered to anyone who wants to pursue a career in backflow prevention.

Trade Winds to Success (Indigenous Peoples)
This program is a designed to give Indigenous peoples an attempt to have both hands on and theoretical experience with the pipe trades. Students attend training at our training facility for 10 weeks in which they attain industry recognized credentials such as fall protection, elevated work platform, confined space, CSTS-20 and WHMIS 2015.

Exploratory Pipe Trades Program (High School Students)
This high school exploratory program is designed to give high school students knowledge of the various pipe trades. This program is 16 weeks in length allowing the students to experience what its like to be a tradesman while earning high school credits at the same time.

Journeyperson to B-Pressure (GTAW & SMAW prep)
This program is designed to give Journeyperson welders an opportunity to become B-Pressure welders in the province of Alberta. The ABSA pressure welder syllabus is followed so that students gain the knowledge and experience to give them an improved opportunity to pass the initial B-Pressure test.

Bench fitting
This program is designed to give students an idea of what its like to work in a fabrication facility where 200 inches as expected each and everyday. Drawings are broken down and fitting the techniques as discussed to further improve the students chances of being successful in the fabrication world.
